On 6th December Inland Homes announced that former Galliard Homes chief executive Don O’Sullivan had started work that day as Inland’s new chief executive, taking over from Stephen Wicks, who had retired at the end of September at the age of 71.
Then, exactly five weeks later, on 16th January Inland Homes issued a brief statement saying that he had gone, leaving markets only able to speculate as to the reason.
It said: “Inland Homes announces that the recently appointed chief executive officer, Donagh O’Sullivan has resigned from the group with immediate effect by mutual agreement. Accordingly, he has stepped down from the board.”
It was only 35 days ago that Inland Homes chair Simon Bennett said: “I have no doubt that Don has the necessary experience, skills and expertise to take the group to the next stage of its development. He is ideally qualified to lead Inland Homes and his construction expertise will prove to be invaluable.” [See our previous report here.]
