Martyn Smith has spent the past two-and-a-half years with Ferrovial Construction as its commercial director.

Over his career he has also worked for Kier, Costain and Vinci in commercial roles.

Tilbury Douglas chief executive Paul Gandy said: “Martyn will be responsible for the development and implementation of the business’ commercial strategy, which supports the sustainable growth of Tilbury Douglas.”

Martyn Smith said he looked forward “to playing an active part in delivering growth for the business”.
